King praises "The Terror of Living"

The Terror of Living: A NovelKing has a blurb on the cover of The Terror of Living by Urban Waite.  We all know that if King likes a book he will sing it from the rooftops.  See what he has to say about The Terror of Living.  Read what King wrote on the cover of   The Terror of Living

Finally my "Carrie" review Book 2

I thought it would be an interesting twist to do a glog for my Book Chick City Stephen King Challenge review of Carrie .  The Glog adds a whole new element to a simple review.  Hope you like the review and my Glog.  The next book is The Shining with less than 50 pages left until I finish the book.  I am simultaneously reading Rose Madder.

Please tell me what you think, do you like this new way of blogging/glogging?  Peace

IMDb lists Best 10 movies based on Stephen King stories

All of the most important King movies are on this IMDb list .  These movies happen to be the ones that when channel surfing, you can't help but watch the film again for the umpteenth time, that is how I compile a best movie list of my own. How do you compile your best SK movie list?  Quick question, who thinks there should be a Stephen King Scene It? game?  That would be crazy cool.  Stephen King Trivial Pursuit is also another idea for a game.

The Shawshank Redemption
Stand by Me
The Green Mile
The Shining
Carrie
Misery
Delores Claiborne
The Mist
The Running Man
Secret Window

Ghost Brothers of Darkland County: Will open in Atlanta later this year

John Mellencamp tells NY Daily News at the end of an interview that GBDC will open later this year!  The article says it will open later this year but the theatre doesn't mention Ghost Brothers of Darkland County at all as an upcoming play.

Geesh......NO NEW STEPHEN KING NEWS!!

Nope, nothing, nada, zilch, zero!!!   This has been a very dry period for Stephen King news.  ATSK has been waiting for news on the next book for the fall or maybe CD will offer another novella like Blockade Billy.  Ms. Mod mentioned that they forgot to name the book during the UStream chat earlier this year.  All I could say to that was what, nooooooo, how could you forget to announce it? (We were so close to knowing...ha ha)  Now we won't know until sometime in March thru May (I'm guessing) but you just never know, it could be sooner.  News on the upcoming multitude of movies would be nice too, until then we sit in a suspenseful limbo.

EW: Stephen King had no clue about "The Stand" remake

EW:  10 things I know about the remake of The Stand

Can you believe that "the powers that be" didn't even think to consult the creator of The Stand to let him know that a remake was in the works?

"The Stand" on the BIG SCREEN according to The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter article here .

After the exceptional graphic novels published of The Stand, I embrace the idea of another reason to head to the theatre.  Warner Bros. and CBS have a chance to take this film and make it an instant classic if they do it right.  Warner Bros. has my vote after The Harry Potter film(s) The Deathly Hallows Part 1 was done so well that I believe that they could take The Stand to the next level and beyond.  Warner Bros.
"gets" the concept of a dark film, so have at it!
