Yes. Personally, I feel that his love of the state of Maine is well represented in his writing, which gives the reader a desire to want to visit his beautiful state of Maine (during the summer months, of course).

First, I would have to say yes. He has such a large fan base, that I am sure there are plenty of tourists traveling to Maine just to see where he lives. Second, I would have to agree with you about how he writes about his home state in all his works (well most of his works) that just makes you want to visit there.
